I've set up a welcome page so I can organize my birding post a little better. Check out the links below. They will take you to other bird pages, mostly pictures. One for birds I'm seeing in my yard. One for birds I'm seeing on short trips around Austin Texas, and the final one for birds that I'm seeing while on longer trips. Hope you enjoy.

Back Yard Birds - since moving into a new house, I've been keeping a list of the different birds I see in and around the back yard. So far, I've cataloged over 50 different birds. I've seen lots more that I wasn't able to positively identify (different sparrows, woodpeckers, warblers, etc). Short Birding Trips - Austin is a great place for birding. Not only do we have some great resident birds, but we get a good variety of migratory birds in the spring and fall.
